Lady Gaga and The Monster Ball Tour

By now I'm sure you are aware that The Monster Ball Tour starring Lady Gaga was in town last night. She performed to a sold out crowd at Quicken Loans Arena.

Gaga exceeded my expectations from the very beginning. The show started with black and white images of Lady Gaga projected onto a large white curtain. It really set the mood and she looked beautiful in the images. Anticipation filled the arena as the crowd impatiently waited for the Gaga to make her appearance.

The show opened with "Dance in the Dark" immediately followed by "Glitter and Grease". At first I was surprised that these were the opening songs but now they make sense to me. They began the journey of getting to The Monster Ball.

This show was very different than most concerts I've attended. It was set up with what I would call mini intermissions. After a couple songs were performed the curtain would come down and more images of Gaga were projected onto the large curtain. This allowed for a set and costume change. The entire show followed the theme of Lady Gaga and her dancers making their way to The Monster Ball.

Lady Gaga performed an eighteen song set list during the two and a half hour show. The audience got to hear "Just Dance", "The Fame", "Monster", "Poker Pace" and many more. Gaga broke out the piano for "Speechless" and it was an amazing performance. She ended the show with "Paparazzi" but returned for a one song encore, "Bad Romance". My personal favorite performances were "Telephone", "Boys Boys Boys" and "Alejandro". Each song was of course performed perfectly with elaborate outfits and amazing dancing.

What I didn't expect was how much Lady Gaga talked to the crowd. She addressed the audience numerous times. She told a story about turning down an invitation to tour the Rock Hall and told us Instead she wrote a song in her studio bus. "It would be a better story if I wrote a song in Cleveland that got me into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame", said Lady Gaga. Although we didn't get to hear that song she told us "“I wrote a No. 1 record in Cleveland.”

The only disappointment was the sound quality in Quicken Loans Arena. I was prepared for this but at times it was extremely hard to understand what Lady Gaga was saying. I'm not sure why these issues exist and maybe it's just because it is such a large venue. Regardless it's disappointing during such an exciting performance.

Let us know what you thought of the show. What were your favorite moments?

I don't know why, I really don't, but I really like the silver rings harness costume lady gaga is wearing in this picture. Call me weird, I guess, I just don't know why I really like it. It's Space-@#$*! I guess.

gyroscope...somebody needs to wrap a string around the axis and give a pull....whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

The article written by you very good, I like it very much. I will keep your new article.

She always wishes to surprise.

She So Great. I want to be her when I grow up. My Mom did not like her, but she is old. I can really say she better than Justin Bieber. She new Madonna! Paws up! Little Monster forever. Everyone at my middle school love her. I can hardly wait to get a tattoo of her. I loved the opening the most too! She looked so neat behind screen! I even like those contact, though I would not wear them. Too scared.
