Kyrie Irving Back from Broken Finger Two Weeks Ahead of Schedule
The 4-17 Cleveland Cavaliers will get a big boost when last years Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving returns to the floor against the LA Lakers tomorrow night at the Q. Irving was cleared to play two weeks ahead of schedule after breaking a finger on his left hand.
"It's been very difficult,'' Irving said after Monday's practice. "But I've gotten a chance to really break down the game and it's given me a chance to get a different outlook being on the sideline. I'm really happy to be out there and be competing again.''
The Cavs are still awaiting the return of shooting guard Dion Waiters. Waiters, the 4th pick of this years NBA Draft, is nursing a sprained ankle.
