Church of Scientology's Secretive "Space Alien Cathedral" in New Mexico Desert Revealed

A BBC reporter recently traveled to a secluded section of the New Mexico desert to investigate a secretive Scientology site, which is reportedly inscribed with a message to aliens that can be seen from space.

The site, which is located in northeaster New Mexico, also houses the writings of the religion's founder, L. Ron Hubbard, in a titanium-sealed bunker built to withstand a nuclear blast.

BBC Panorama reporter John Sweeney wrote in his new book, "Church of Fear: Inside the Weird World of Scientology", that the Trementina Base is inscribed with two interlocking circles, each with a diamond inside. The symbols are a salute to space creatures and act as a marker to "guide Clears, (high-ranking Scientologists) returning from space to find Mr. Hubbard's works after a nuclear Armageddon wipes out humanity."

He added:

"Its vault houses the lectures of church founder L Ron Hubbard on gold discs locked in titanium caskets sealed with argon. The cathedral is H-bomb proof, protected by three 5,000lb stainless steel airlocks."

Sweeney said that he attempted to visit the site with Marc Headley, a former Scientologist who claims he was given spiritual guidance, or "audited" by Tom Cruise and was beaten up by church leader David Miscavige, who is also good friends with Cruise. The two were turned away at a large security gate near the site.

Sweeney wrote of the experience:

"We drive back to civilization, wondering what kind of religion builds a space alien cathedral underground."
