Cleveland Apparel Company to Introduce Clothing Line for USPS

The United States Postal Service is getting into the clothing business and are doing so with the help of a Cleveland based company. USPS announced that they will sell apparel and accessories under the brand name “Rain Heat & Snow" which borrows from the moniker of delivering parcels no matter what the weather conditions are like.

Partnering with USPS is Cleveland based fashion apparel company Wahconah Group who operates on Pearl Road.

“The Wahconah Group is excited to be working with the U.S. Postal Service in launching this all-weather line of clothing,” said Chief Executive Officer Isaac Crawford in a press release issued by USPS. “The products will build on the rich American history of this iconic brand, creating specialized apparel for consumers, at affordable prices, delivering something new and exciting that retailers can offer their customers.”

“This agreement will put the Postal Service on the cutting edge of functional fashion,” added Postal Service Corporate Licensing Manager Steven Mills. “The main focus will be to produce Rain Heat & Snow apparel and accessories using technology to create ‘smart apparel’ — also known as wearable electronics.”

Wahconah Group is in the process of setting up a showroom in New York City's garment district which will showcase the new products. The initial launch date was not stated in the press release but they plan to sell the new merchandise at premier department and specialty stores. The launch will first focus on a mens line with a female line launch at a later date.
