Porn Industry Hit with 3rd Positive HIV Test; Dozens Now Quarantined
Last month female porn star Cameron Bay tested positive for HIV, and on Tuesday her boyfriend (and fellow porn star) Rod Daily announced that he had also tested positive for HIV. Now, a third porn star has tested positive - a male performer who had done some crossover work.
The third infected porn star's identity is currently unknown, but RadarOnline.com reports that "a dozen female performers have been quarantined as a result of exposure." An insider revealed to the gossip site that the actor worked for major studios and that the positive HIV test was reported by a PASS-affiliated (Performer Availability Screening Services) doctor.
PASS is an American organization that maintains a database of test results for porn actors and is intended to help reduce and prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.
When news of a performer with HIV first broke, a moratorium was initially enacted, however, the Free Speech Coalition later lifted it. A moratorium has since been re-instated, although it is unclear if it is related to Daily's announcement or the positive test of the unnamed porn actor.
