Daniel Gibson Apologizes to Cavaliers Fans On Social Media

Daniel Gibson has had a rough 12 months. The former guard for the Cleveland Cavalier, who is currently a free agent, had a forgettable year on the playing floor last season notching only 5.4 points per game and only appearing in 46 games. Things got worse this summer when he was charged with battery in New Orleans after getting into a fight.

Gibson still has is his heart in Cleveland and shared his feelings via a message that he posted on Instagram yesterday. The 27 year old posted a picture with text that read:

“With all the injuries and playing hurt… I wouldn’t want to leave Cleveland this way, it would hurt me to leave that way. I feel like the fans have always shown love to me, and this is home, basically. I apologize for the product I put out there on the floor. Daniel Gibson, 2013″.

Gibson had been courted by the Houston Rockets earlier this offseason but their interest in the former Texas Longhorn has died down. The Philadelphia 76'ers are currently the team that is most interested in acquiring his services this year.
