Jim Brown Says Tiger Woods is "Terrible" on Social Causes
Jim Brown is a clearly a busy man today. First he suggested that the Browns' Donte Stallworth was high on marijuana during his DUI arrest, and now he's ripping on golf great Tiger Woods. In an interview to appear Tuesday on HBO's "Real Sports", Brown says that Woods is "terrible" when it comes to social change.
Of Woods, Brown said:
"This cat is a mamajama; he is a killer. He'll run over you, he'll kick your ass. But as an individual for social change, or any of that kind of ----? Terrible. Terrible."
It is not the first time that Brown has publicly criticized Woods. In 2008 he criticized him for not speaking out against the Golf Channel's Kelly Tilghman after she used the word "lynch" in a joking reference to him.
Brown also said:
“There are one or two individuals in this country that are black that have been put in front of us as an example. But they're basically under a system that says, ‘Hey, they're not gonna do a certain thing.’ Yes, that disappoints me because I know they both know better.”
Asked if he was referring to Tiger and Michael, he replied:
“ Yeah, I know they both know better, OK. And I know they both can do better without hurting themselves.”
