The Cleveland Cavaliers have made another off-season move, signing free agent forward Rob Kurz to a one-year, non-guaranteed contract worth $736,000. With an addition like Kurz, the Cavs look set to contend this coming 2009-2010 season.

The 6'9" forward got his start in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors last season, where he averaged 3.9 points and 2.0 rebounds. He played 40 games, and started five last season. Most impressive of all was his 40 percent average on three-point shots.

As a college hoops star at Notre Dame, Kurz was one of only eighteen players in the school's history to serve as team captain two consecutive years, and was the 48th player in Notre Dame basketball history to score 1,000 points.
