Former Buckeye Orlando Pace Out for the Year

The St Louis Rams, and former Ohio State Buckeye, Orlando Pace has been knocked out of the season after just one game this year. The All-Pro Tackle has a torn labrum and rotator cuff. Pace was coming off a year that ended in surgery and the former first pick overall (1997) career could be in jeopardy.

"I think it's too soon to say what implications there are for his future," Coach Scott Linehan said. "I would think it's all up to the mind-set of Orlando and how he responds to another recovery to a season-ending injury."

Pace has been a Pro-Bowl tackle 7 times was a driving force in the Rams Super Bowl XXXIV victory. His number 76 has been retired at Sandusky High School and was so good at Ohio State that he was considered a Heisman Trophy candidate.
