Trent Dilfer: Frye in Great Situation

Trent Dilfer, another former Cleveland Brown QB run out of town by the club, offered the latest causality of Browns lore his words of wisdom in phone call. Frye, speaking to the Seattle Post Intelligencer said:

"Trent thinks this is going to be a great situation for me, and that's a guy I really look up to," Frye said. "That being said, I'm really excited about the situation I'm in."

Now the goal for Frye is to learn the Seahawks offensive terminology.

"We're learning the new language first," quarterbacks coach Jim Zorn on the transition "It's hard to know what he's going to be able to do early until he learns the language that we speak."

Frye will now be the third string quarterback on the Seahawks. He is behind Pro-Bowl QB Matt Hassleback and all purpose QB, who also plays a little receiver, Seneca Wallace.

Some observers thought by bringing in Frye, Wallace would be on the fast track for a greater role in the offense and on special teams returning kicks. Head coach Mike Holmgren insisted that Frye is now the third on the depth chart and it won't likely change for some time.
