"This jackass doesn't have a right to go on some wacked-out diatribe without being asked to stop."

Actually, he does.

There are two components to this situation. Firstly, violation of Freedom of Speech. You may not have liked what he had to say, but he has every right to say it. The fact that they brought in officers to apprehend him for asking provocative questions is frightening.

Secondly, police brutality. If the student had just walked with the police without resisting, this would have just been one of many acts of unconstitutional censorship that slip by under the radar every day. But no, the student resisted. He broke the law by resisting arrest, and in doing so did a great piece of public service to our country. He gave an enourmous amount of attention to the issue of freedom of speech, and police brutality (he was tased after he was cuffed. That is definetly not by the books, especially since it was 5 on 1).

Also, people are now saying that he is a known trickster, and was just trying to get attention with these questions. To that I say, that might very well be true, but I don't care. The constitution protects his right to do that too,
