I find this situation eerily similar to an event that occurred in Russia at the time of the Kursk tragedy.

One of the mother's of a Kursk crewman was speaking out against the Russian government and railing against them in a public forum for inaction and, essentially, letting the Kursk sailors die without even trying to save them.

When the woman became too bold, a "government official" snuck up behind the lady in the middle of her tirade and administered something via a syringe that quickly silenced the woman.

Can this happen in America...it just did.
