Kucinich isn't taken seriously because he takes no serious positions. There are no FDR democrats anymore, they are all what you would call a Bush Republican. Kucinich is a Stalinist Democrat whose policies would result in famine, unemployment, rationing of goods and services, and increased terrorist activity.
