where were democrats dennis and joe (self-proclaimed defenders of the workin man) when 252 cleveland cops and 70 firefighters got booted off the payroll in 2004? we all know that the administration is, and has (bin)laden with felons and is top heavy, not to mention city council. in the police department itself, no supervisors were removed from the payroll. in fact, they continued promoting more people to supervisor with 252 less people to supervise. how can the defenders of the workin man remain silent when they allowed this to happen knowing that we have three times the number of councilmen that columbus has and that our councilmen make thirty thousand dollars more per year than do the councilmen in columbus (all seven of them)? in toledo their seven councilmen make 27.5 thousand per year while our 21 make 70k/yr each. nick jackson (the mayors brother) makes 140k/yr working for the Cleveland Public Schools and none of his co-workers can tell you what his job responsibilities are. dr. sanders makes nearly 100k more than the next highest-paid school superintendent in the state and has four deputy superintendents each of whom make 175k/yr. all of them make more than the second-highest paid CEO of schools in the state (rosa blackwell CEO of Columbus schools makes 165k/yr). why does the city of cleveland have four assistant safety directors? if one isn't getting the job done, we should assist in directing them to the door. why does the newly appointed security chief of the schools make more than the Cleveland Chief of Police? our problem is evident, but nobody wants to correct it. these democrats are happy with the way it is now. as mayor jackson himself infamously said: "we know what the problem is and we have known for many years what the problem is - we just haven't done anything about it." only a city full of fools would continue to re-elect these fools. vote for anybody other than cimperman or dennis. they're a big part of the problem. sorry to rant, roldo. by the way, i'm a cleveland resident who has lived in the city my entire life. i'm 46 years old.
