Maybe the last eight years have conspired to make Al Gore more comfortable in his own skin. I've never understood the knock against him that he was a "wooden" speaker, or that he wasn't dynamic or forceful. He was certainly good enough to get himself elected to the Senate and the Vice Presidency. In my opinion, this speech demonstrates how masterful he can be. As much as I may like Obama, I still wish Gore had taken another run at it.
