Sophomoric Humor and Politics Collide On Season 2 of Lil' Bush

If you are regular readers of the Cleveland Leader, you probably know that we have been big fans of "Lil' Bush: Resident of the United States" from its inception. "Lil' Bush", the animated series that airs on Comedy Central recently concluded its second season of making the Bush administration accountable for all its misdeeds. If you if missed season 2 of the series you'll be pleased to hear that it will be released on DVD on October 14th.

Season 2 once again features the core cast of characters Lil' Bush, Lil' Condi, Lil' Rummy, and Lil' Cheney as they find themselves messing up situation after situation. The season also includes Democrats Tiny (Dennis) Kucinich, Lil Hillary Clinton, and Lil Barack Obama.

One of the highlights is George and Barbara Bush almost getting evicted from their house because of the subprime mortgage crisis. That is the genius of the show. It takes serious issues, such as the invasion of Iraq in season 1, and presents them in an entertaining way while also getting an important point of view across.

This season features a number of guest voices Including Kevin Federline, Phil Lesh (Grateful Dead), Fred Schneider and Kate Pierson (The B-52's),Joel and Benji Madden (Good Charlotte), Joe Escalante, Iggy Pop and Tim Meadows. The release comes with 2 DVD's and features bonus features such as "My Lil Bush" music video, animated shorts that didn't air on tv, and audio commentary. The DVD is also uncensored.

The DVD release comes at the perfect time when you've probably become over saturated with political news and are in the mood to laugh at the figures that have all too familiar on the television sets.
