Sounds like fear and sour grapes to me. I suspect major publishing companies would not ventuer a $7M advance predicated upon "curiosity and spectacle" book sales.
It's very clear that Palin represents a very new face among high-profile women politicians. She was a sensation at the RNC convention and during the campaign. People saw a bright, energetic, principled woman with conservative views much like those of Reagan. THAT'S what publishers will be counting on to sell books, and NOT "curiosity and spectacle".
