Supposedly Ford isn't in trouble like the other automakers are. Even so, back when gas was high the supposed reason for their troubles was they made too many huge cars. Now that the price of gas is back down to cheap, the real reason they're lacking becomes apparent once again- Japanese cars are kicking American cars' butts when it comes to reliability. Some would argue that's just perception, but the perception is certainly hurting sales.
