First, if the Raiders and Bears are the two front offices we're using to argue that this was a good pick, that doesn't convince me. Both are suspect, at best. Second, the video shows me the kid can hit hard and closes fast. But that makes him the next Roy Williams, and that's not a compliment. He doesn't wrap up and he doesn't play the ball. How many of those huge hits he landed in college will miss completely or glance off in the NFL? My bet is a lot of them.
If the Raiders (or Bears) took him in the 4th round, I would say it's a stretch, but not a terrible risk. Al Davis took him in the second round, which is insane to me. We'll see!
I agree that the reaction by ESPN was pretty nasty though. And if a video is on YouTube, the freaking Worldwide Leader should have it!
