Brook Park Ford Plant Back in Business

Automaker Celebrates Cleveland Engine Plant No. 1 Reopening With a Party
Ford Motor Company has opened the doors back up to Cleveland Engine Plant No. 1 after a two year hiatus. The new engine plant will produce EcoBoost engines which offer direct injection and turbocharging which brings better fuel efficiency to vehicles. The engines will be placed in vehicles such as Ford Taurus SHO and optional on the Lincoln MKS and MKT, and the Ford Flex.
The plant, which will be staffed with 250 autoworkers later this summer, will be managed by Charles Binger. In a press release, he says:
“The new technology that’s been invested in the plant is key to our ability to produce world-class powertrains," said Binger. "With a workforce that’s been highly-trained in quality processes and our flexible manufacturing systems, quality is built into the process from start to finish.”
The automaker will celebrate the opening of the plant with a party for the workers who are happy to be back on the job.
