The Cleveland Indians will play the Oakland A's at 7:05 on July 4th instead of the twinight start at 4:05 as it was originally scheduled. Fox Sports axing the Tribe off national television will enable the Indians to put on a postgame fireworks display the evening of the holiday.
The July 4th game wasn't the only changes announced by the ball club today. The June 14th contest against the St. Louis Cardinals will be televised nationally on Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN. The game had been scheduled for a first pitch of 1:05 and has been moved back to 8:05. ESPN will also televise games on June 1 against the Yankees and June 15 against the Brewers which had been scheduled to air on STO but now will be seen nationally.
