Palin: Obama is Leading the U.S. to Socialism
During an interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity on Monday evening, former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin said that President Barack Obama's spending policies to revive the economy were leading the United States to socialism.
"When you consider that the federal government is about $11 trillion in debt, and we're borrowing more to spend more ... it defies any sensible economic policy any of us ever learned through college.
"It defies economy practices and principles that tell ya 'you gotta quit digging that hole when you are in that financial hole,'" she said.
Palin's comments came on the heels of the White House's acknowledgement that it has spent just 5 percent - or $44 billion - of the $787 stimulus so far. The total is expected to rise sharply this summer.
Palin also launched an attack over the government's take over of the auto industry.
"We're borrowing from China and we consider that now we own 60% of General Motors - or the U.S. government does… But who is the U.S. government becoming more indebted to? It's China. So that leads you to have to ask who is really going to own our car industry than in America."
After some coaxing by Hannity, Palin said "I told ya so."
And when she was asked if the U.S. was headed towards socialism, Palin responded:
"If we keep going down these roads nationalizing many of our services, our projects, our businesses, yes that's where we would head."
During the interview Palin did describe Obama as "a very nice man", however she warned voters to "pay attention to his policies."

Most of us are awestruck at the nerve of Palin, Fox, Rush, etc. that they are NOW upset by our massive debt, rather than when we incurred massive debts under Bush/Cheney with their no-bid/Halliburton war contracts, the fake Iraq WMD mess, and the so-"free" market economy which is the Republican term for "naked greed and corruption", oil companies and Enron running our energy policy, etc etc etc. It is the same ol' Republican shell game; a bait and switch. You can talk all you want, but most of us aren't buying what you're selling. And single-payer health care is what Americans want. Get my point? Obama is not a socialist; he's refusing to provide single-payer. Much to our dismay.
June 9 11:05am comment is a little optimistic. "Most" of us are not pleased with what Obama is doing. Obama only won the election by 5% and mostly on the strength of clever if not deceptive marketing. Most of us are proud of the nerve that Palin, Fox, Rush have in standing up to the political correctionists, main stream media and demagogs who are operating on false and tremulous premises. And I can't imagine what your definition of Socialism might be if you fail to recognise that bailing out and taking control of business after business is not socialism.

If Sarah Palin is so silly and irrelevant, why the obsession? Clearly the Left noted her appeal, and are out to eliminate the threat- it’s not like it’s not obvious.
And she's been highly successful in life while ignoring the left-wing feminist model… this helps to explain the extra dose of venom in the attacks. Of course, the Democrats are plenty afraid of Palin coming-back at them in 2012 with a dynamic and complementary VP like Bobby Jindal… or visa versa.
And they surely have reason to fear her- Palin is the most popular governor in the country… are all those people idiots?

I grew up in a socialist country - DENMARK. Frequently voted the best country to live on the planet! I was stunned by Sarah Palin during the election when she referred to socialist countries as "Countries where people are not so free". Silly woman didn't even consider the European countries. Then I heard her talking about "the country of Africa as opposed to the continent of Africa" (there isn't a country called Africa) - and that's when I realized not only does Silly Sarah not know the difference between Socialism and Communism, she is so poorly educated she couldn't pass high school geography in a socialist country.
If she ever becomes president of this country she will lead us into all kinds of terrible wars, throw missiles around all over the place (given she doesn't know where anywhere is), manipulate the End Days, Armegeddon and then sit back and say "it is the will of God!"

A long time ago when our founding fathers drew up this little thing called The Constitution that the Obama admin has thrown to the way side. Its a sad time in this country when people are so ignorant that they cannot see the blatent facts that are staring them in the face. Yes the constitution is what made this country great but if you look around you can notice evolution happeneing everywhere. You think we would be the country we are if we just went by the constitution as is was? No we need to change and adapt to the world we have changed it into.
Socialism means that the people are in control of whatever is in question. A Government controlling everything is the OPPOSITE OF SOCIALISM. Government run health care is not socialism. Bailing out banks is not socialism (it wasn't even voted for democratically!) Denmark is not a socialist country, it is authoritarian, just like all the rest. No socialist or communist countries/systems have ever implemented. It took me a while to understand it myself, but please open a book, dictionary, or better yet an encyclopedia. Conservatives are stupid people (and usually selfish psychopaths). Conservatism is the failing ideology of history. Ask conservatives to explain themselves, they can't give any proof or substance to their childish claims. Like, "Obama is throwing away the consitution" HOW!? WHY?! Sarah Palin is correct. obama has had ties to socialism, communism, and marxism all his life. he was selected by george soros and the sosialist party to be president, regardless of the fact that he was born in Kenya. Our country will be run by the elitists in office, without regard for "we the people". ACORN and it's almost 300 affiliates are working on making this happen. we have been taken over by a bunch of socialist thugs who have no respect for the law or the constitution. Too bad their propaganda against Palin worked, as I believe she is our only hope of getting our country back.
