Shaquille O'Neal Finally Traded to Cavaliers

The trade that first started buzzing in February and seemed to drag on forever was finally completed Wednesday night, according to ESPN and numerous other sources. The terms are as follows: Cleveland gets Shaq in exchange for Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic, the 46th pick in this years draft and $500,000. Reports are stating that the teams have agreed in principle and the deal is expected to be finalized Thursday.

More to come later today on what this means for the Cavs and what to look forward to in the NBA Draft Thursday evening.

In the meantime, if you're on Twitter, go send a welcome message to Shaq Daddy: The_Real_Shaq

I'm beyond giddy! It's not often you can pull off a life altering trade that brings in a force of nature like Shaq for a player about to retire, a total space cadet who never fulfilled his promise, a second round pick, and some cash. Unbelievable.

If we got him at the deadline though we would have probably seen a championship parade down Euclid.....

Yeah, that's probably true.

Yeah, that's probably true. Though we don't know exactly what else Phx wanted at that time. If they wanted D-West too, that would be a deal breaker at that time. Plus Kerr eventually decided to try for a playoff run and pulled out of the talks, so not much else Ferry could do then.
