What Chris Brown and Rihana went through had nothing to do with the BET awards. We dont know the whole story and men do this as well in the entertainment business. It just happened to be her. Everybody makes mistakes and his opportunity should not have been knocked down. Snoop, Jay Z, lil wayne and a number of men disrespect women all through their music and no ones sitting them down. The show was to honor MJ not make people pay for their sins. If BET is so concerned about 'felons' performing then they wouldn't have any performers--90% of those on stage last night have had some legal issues. Let's not forget the man they were honoring last night, Michael Jackson himself was accused of a more horrible crime then chris brown. People who live in glass houses should not throw stones. the show was not about Jay Z, Rihanna or anybodies prior sins; it was about honoring MJ and nobody, NOBODY could have done that better then Chris Brown. What Chris did was wrong, and disappointing. It gave African-American males a bad look, but that is besides the point. A lot of people talked about how Michael Jackson did this and that to little boys, but did you see how man people joined his funeral? Did you notice how people have been playing and buying his music nonstop? Everyone makes mistakes. This was Chris's IDOL. Especially since chris is in the music, this was an honorable moment for him and it is gone. I feel as though all the decisions that were made should have been made upon BET and the Jackson family. Jay-Z is a whole nut for having any input because the relationship Chris had with Michael was NOT something Jay-Z should have screwed up.

There is no way possible that Jay Z should have had a say so in the situation about CB performing for his idle. If anything BET should have granted him permission to perform for those few minutes and then told him to leave right away. That way both parties would have been happy.
