Police Say McNair's Girlfriend Recently Purchased a Gun

The woman found shot to death along with Steve McNair this weekend, who is believed to have been his girlfriend, was said to have recently purchased a gun. Farzin Abdi, the nephew of Sahel Kazemi, has told media that Nashville police told him that she recently bought a gun.

Abdi also says that he does not believe Kazemi would have killed McNair and herself.

The former Tennessee Titans quarterback and Kazemi were found dead Saturday in a condominium owned by McNair. Abdi adds that police told him that they are nearly certain that Kazemi, 20, was the shooter.

He, however, believes that she had no motive, and said that she believed McNair was divorcing his wife. Abdi says that she was preparing her furniture to move in with him.

Nashville police have thus far not responded to Abdi's comments.
