Next Michael Moore Feature - Capitalism: A Love Story - Will Hit Screens October 2
After tackling the health care industry with "Sicko" and the Bush administration with "Fahrenheit 9/11", Michael Moore is returning to the issue that began his documentary career: the disasterous impact that corporate dominance and out-of-control profit motives have on the lives of American and citizens of the world. Considering that we are in the midst of a global recession due to corporate greed on Wall Street and in the mortgage industry, his latest film - "Capitalism: A Love Story" - will hit home for a lot of people.
When asked why he decided to make a "love story", Moore stated that it was time for him to make a "relationship movie":
"It will be the perfect date movie," said Moore. "It's got it all -- lust, passion, romance, and 14,000 jobs being eliminated every day. It's a forbidden love, one that dare not speak its name. Heck, let's just say it: It's Capitalism."
So on October 2, 2009, "Capitalism: A Love Story" will hit theaters nationwide. If you're lucky and still have a job, perhaps you'll be amongst those who go to see it.
Overture Films will be releasing the film domestically, and Paramount Vantage will handle international distribution.
