Actor Jeffrey Donovan, star of the television show "Burn Notice", was arrested for a DUI earlier this month, and the details have now come out. According to Radar, he crashed into a Miami Beach Police Cruiser around 11:50pm on July 11 and refused a breath test.

According to the police report, Donovan stated:

“I really think I’m only borderline and not too drunk – the only mistake I made tonight was to drink Benadryl with three glasses of wine.”

Officers noted that at the time of the crash he had "blood-shot watery eyes", and was driving a 2009 black two-door Audi at the time of the crash.

The officer noted in his report:

“I asked the defendant if he was alright to which he answered – ‘Sorry I didn’t see the red light or your stop car. I then smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the defendant’s breath and observed that the defendant had a flushed face.”

Donovan was then asked to walk a straight line on a level area, but could not "perform to standards". He was then arrested and taken to the Miami Beach Police Dept. where he was booked and later released.
