Michael Jackson's Doctor to be Charged with Manslaughter & Arrested Within Two Weeks

A law enforcement official spoke with FOXnews.com, and revealed that Michael Jackson's personal physician will be charged with manslaughter within the next two weeks. The source first said that Dr. Conrad Murray could be arrested as soon as next Wednesday, however investigators have decided to execute one more search warrant - likely at a Los Angeles pharmacy - next week in an attempt to gather more evidence against him. Murray's arrest is now expected to happen the following week.

The same law enforcement official also said that Murray is not the only doctor facing possible criminal charges in connection with Jackson's June 25th death. His longtime dermatologist, Dr. Arnold Klein, will also be slapped with charges relating to medical malpractice. Investigators are still working on building their case against Klein, and he will not be arrested for at least another two weeks.

Murray is currently in Houston, and the Los Angeles District Attorney's office is currently in talks with investigators about whether they will offer him the option of surrendering in LA, or if he will be arrested in Houston.

Initially, investigators had been hoped to charge Murray with second degree murder. In California a defendant can be charged with second degree murder without the presence of a motive, however, prosecutors are concerned that a jury will be unlikely to convict without one. So unless they find a "smoking gun" during the search next week, he'll likely be charged with manslaughter.
