La Toya Jackson: My Brother Was Murdered

Just one day after the Los Angeles County Coroner ruled Michael Jackson's death a homicide, his sister La Toya came out and released a statement to the media. She believes that her brother was in fact murdered.

In a statement issued to ABC News on Tuesday, La Toya, 53, said:

"I am thankful to the investigators for uncovering the truth to the world. And I look forward to the day that justice will be served to all the parties involved in my brother's homicide."

A police affidavit described the details of Jackson's final night alive, and revealed that his personal doctor - Dr. Conrad Murray - injected him with "lethal levels" of the dangerous drug propofol. Murray has been been the primary target of a manslaughter investigation into his death, but has not yet been charged. The homocide ruling by the coroner makes it likely that the physician could soon face charges.

The police affidavit from LAPD Detective Orlando Martinez include Murray's admission to the police that he injected Jackson with an array of powerful sedatives before his death on June 25. New details about Jackson's final hours, and what happened after Murray discovered he had stopped breathing, were also revealed.

Among the first people Murray called after Jackson died were his oldest son, 12-year-old Prince Michael, and an aide, Michael Emir Williams.

Murray's attorney, Ed Chernoff, has dismissed the affidavit as "police theory". He denied that Murray told cops he found Jackson not breathing at 11am, and insisted that he never said that he waited just 10 minutes after administering propofol before leaving to attend personal business. In fact, he says he never left Jackson's side to make personal phone calls.

According to the affidavit:

• Murray treated Jackson for insomnia for six weeks and admitted giving him nightly intravenous doses of 50 milligrams of propofol.
• Jackson, 50, had been given propofol by other doctors and referred to it as "milk."
• Jackson had also taken lidocaine, which he referred to as "anti-burn" and is a drug used to restore heart rhythms.
• Jackson was prescribed drugs under various aliases ranging from Jack London to Bryan Singleton and had meds he used prescribed to members of his entourage.

In the affidavit, Murray also claimed that he feared Jackson was becoming hooked on propofol, and so he began to lower the dose and mix in other powerful sedatives such as midazolam and lorazepam. He said that two days before his death, he only gave him the substitute sedatives.

On the day of Jackson's death, Murray first gave him Valium at 1:30am. That did not work, and so then he injected lorazepam intravenously at 2am. Jackson was still awake within an hour, and so Murray gave him midazolam. But Jackson was still unable to fall asleep.

Over the course of the next few hours, Murray administred various other sedatives. At 10:40am, however, Murray finally caved in and gave Jackson the propofol, which he called "milk". Jackson finally fell asleep, and Murray said he left "to go to the rest room" and left him alone for "two minutes maximum".

Ever since Jackson was found unconscious eight weeks ago, Murray has insisted that he did nothing wrong. Last week in a video posted to YouTube, he said he "told the truth and I have faith the truth will prevail."

The affidavit states that a search of "Jackson's bedside revealed numerous bottles of medications prescribed by Murray, the singer's dermatologist Dr. Arnold Klein, and others.

Londell McMillan, a lawyer for the Jackson family, said that the reports reaffirm the "very sad reality that there was a tragic and gross violation of duty and care for Michael Jackson."
