$2 Million Worth of Jewelry Amongst Items Stolen From Lindsay Lohan
Last weekend Lindsay Lohan's home was broken into. At the time, her mother, Dina, said "the safe was ripped off the wall, and the door was off the hinges and door handles were removed . . . bags, shoes and jewelry were taken." Now it has been revealed that she has been robbed of, or claims to have been robbed of, $2 million worth of jewelry on loan to her from a Beverly Hills boutique.
The break-in at LiLo's Hollywood Hills home occurred last Sunday when the 23-year-old actress was not at home. Suveillance video shows three suspects - one young man and two young women - walking through the gate of Lohan's home and into a courtyard wearing scarves around their faces.
On Friday, RadarOnline.com reported that Lohan is now blaming the break-in for the disappearance of $2 million worth of jewelry she borrowed from XIV Karats more than two months ago. A source told the website:
"Lindsay claimed that they had been stolen from her safe. They've disappeared. XIV are not happy about it.
The jewels were in Lindsay's care and they were only on a loaner -- they were expected to be returned. If something is not resolved soon, there will be legal action taken."
Interestingly, its not the first time that pricey jewelry has disappeared while in the hands of Miss Lohan. In June, $40,000 worth of diamond jewelry Lohan had been wearing for an Elle UK photo shoot went missing.
Several days ago Lindsay took to Twitter to discuss the robbery, but did not mention that expensive jewelry was amongst the items stolen. She tweeted:
"That's how i know it was not a ROBBERY. electronics weren't taken . . . just things that a certain old friend knew meant a lot to me."
Los Angeles police did not disclose what was stolen from her home. They did say though that on May 12, burglars failed to break into her house.
Warning to any jewelers considering loaning LiLo gems in the future: You may not get them back.

lilo and sam ronson are the ones on the tape
It is obvious looking at the tape that two of the people on the security tape are Lindsay and Samantha Ronson. Several people at work stated that you can tell right away that it is Samantha Ronson, Lindsay and another female who are in it at first glance. I saw it as well without anyone telling me first. It is definitely three women and in one frame, Lindsay's face is almost completely uncovered. Who are they trying to fool and why. I bet they are up to their ears in debt and this is an attempt to get some money from insurance companies.
Blame the victim once
Blame the victim once again.
Very convenient.
I'm certain Lindsay Lohan is
I'm certain Lindsay Lohan is responsible for this. First off, she is broke. She doesn't work because she can't follow rules and has such an unpleasant personality nobody wants to hire her. Besides, she is more interested in partying than earning a living. Hmm, what to do, what to do? Aha! A break in; that's the answer! Secondly, Lindsay said on Twitter that it was done by someone who knew her who only took things that had a very personal meaning to her. She does not mention that 2 mil in jewels are gone! I mean, wouldn't you be frantic and writing everyone about that? Not Lindsay. The police seriously need to talk to this woman. But then again, Lindsay does not have a conscience so I don't think they will get very far with her. That she thinks she can get away with everything is just so mind boggling. The main culprit in this so-called burglary is so patently obvious it is laughable. Oh, and by the way, did they ever recover the $75,000 worth of jewels taken during her Vogue shoot? Just wondering. Book her, Dano.
I can't say I'm surprised
I can't say I'm surprised that this happened. It's unfortunate, but it just seems that celebrities are so willing to go to such great lengths to make ends meet or get what they want. I wonder though, what was the incentive - to make some extra cash or to have the diamondsfor herself? She is, as we know, a serious jewelry-lover.
