Jenna Bush Hired as NBC Today Show Correspondent

Former first daughter Jenna Bush Hager has been hired as a new correspondent for NBC's "Today" Show. A 27-year-old teacher in Baltimore, Hager will contribute stories about once per month on issues such as education to TV's top-rated morning news show.

Jenna revealed that she always wanted to be a teacher and a writer, and she has already authored two books. However the idea of television wasn't something she had always dreamed of. Nevertheless, she was open-minded and intrigued by the offer.

So now she will be working two part-time jobs - as a correspondent and in her school where she will be a reading coordinator this year. Her first story for the show is expected to be on sometime next month.

Hager said:

"I hope to focus on whatI'm passionate about because I think I'd do them best job on them -education, urban education, women and children's issues and literacy."

She will not, however, be talking about her experience as the daughter of a president.
