Scandalous Photos of East Cleveland Mayor Emerge Days Ahead of Primary Election
The race for Mayor in East Cleveland is really heating up. Photos of what is reportedly incumbent Mayor Eric Brewer in a variety of women's lingerie, wigs, lipstick and x-rated poses have been circulating around the Cleveland suburb, prompting many to speculate that is the work of none other than his opponent, Gary Norton.
Norton is currently East Cleveland's council president and is a top aide to Cuyahoga County Commissioner Peter Lawson Jones. He and his staff, however, say they have nothing to do with the photos being circulated in the community. Norton did say that he has seen the photos, and that there is no doubt that it is Brewer.
Norton says that he doesn't believe the photos should be an issue in the campaign. Since when were scandalous photos such as these not a huge deal, especially with an election just days away?
Norton commented:
"There are big issues in East Cleveland and I don't want these photos to serve as a distraction to problems that face our residents."
According to residents, people were showing them the photos on the streets of East Cleveland on Wednesday. Many of those who have seen them were shocked, but have also commented that what one does behind closed doors is their own business and shouldn't impact an election.
Will these photos sway the election in Norton's favor? Or will they simply be laughed about, gawked over, and then overlooked? Whatever the case, they're certainly not going to be forgotten and from here on out, Brewer will be known as the mayor who likes to dress up in women's lingerie.

Even if this is Eric, thats his personal life and his personal business. The job he does at the city is what the voters in East Cleveland should evaluate. Its unfortunate that these very private and personal pictures have been splashed all over the news but in this day and age all things are fair game to some people. It just goes to show you why a lot of good and very smart people stay out of politics.

I agree once you are in public office your private life becomes public. But how old are these pictures. And after viewing them check out whikipedia's web page on east cleveland and read the things mr brewer accomplished and how corrupt previous mayors were. One is in the federal prison for nine years. How much time do you get for dressing in drag. I live in Vancouver, British Columbia and its a celebration with a gay pride parade, the only parade this city has too, to dress in drag. I have some of my fondest memories of when I once lived in Cleveland with my husband Joe. Miss the US.

Whomever exposed these pictures should have developed an action plan to reverse the disfunction in this City, AND expose that instead of these pictures featuring this ill built man attempting to play dress up!
Focus has been placed in the wrong areas (placing speed cameras on areas such as hills, and behind trees, leaving abandoned buildings causing one's property value to decrease, and taxes steadily increasing, police not chasing drug dealers, but issuing bogus tickets to motorists are just a few areas where major improvements can be made)
If Mr. Brewer spent more time doing his job I don't think too much emphasis would have been placed on his extracurriclar activies. Newsflash Once you raised your right hand Mr. Brewer your personal life went out of the window.

Even if it is the mayor and everyone thinks it is for one he has not denied it, so maybe it is but has it did good in cleaning up east cleveland if so then what he does in his home is private and personal why would someone post pictures like that, because they knew it would try to destroy him, whether it was his opponent or the police whoever broadcast them feel threatened by his work as a mayor. So East Cleveland look at that, look at the purpose of the pictures being brought out, maybe they were in his past like years before his political career.
