DJ AM Death Ruled Accidental Drug Overdose
Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein was found dead in his New York Apartment on August 28. Police found a crack pipe and various drugs in the vicinity of his body, and it was assumed that he died of a drug overdose. Toxicology reports have now been released, and a mix of deadly drugs were found in his body.
Toxicology reports show that he had cocaine, OxyContin, Hydrocodone, Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin, Benadryl and Levamisole in his system. The NYPD, however, is not planning to investigate, even if he may have gotten the drugs illegally.
A police source said: "It's over. It's been ruled an accidental death."
Prior to his death, Goldstein had just finished an MTV reality show called "Gone Too Far" about his efforts to help other addicts. A spokesperson for MTV said that the network had not made a final decision about airing the program.
