Browns Offense Reacts to Brady Quinn Losing Starting Job at QB

Wide Receiver Josh Cribbs (On the quarterback switch) – “Preseason we were switching quarterbacks. It’s nothing to us as an offense. I feel like we’ve played with both quarterbacks and they are both great quarterbacks. We have to live with our coach’s decision and play football."
(On if the switch will provide a spark) – “Hopefully it can. I trust in the coach’s decision. We have to, we are all in. He’s our leader and we are going to follow behind him."
(On the team’s confidence level) – “The confidence level is high. We are going in playing at home, it’s always good to play at home. We have great fans, a high intensity fan base. We are going to build on that and play good football on Sunday."
Wide Receiver Braylon Edwards (On the quarterback switch) – “It’s on coach Mangini. He made the decision that he felt was the necessary action that needed to be taken."
(On the 51-45 shootout against Cincinnati in 2007) – “That was 2007. That was a different team, a different year. We just need to do anything we can to win this Sunday."
Running Back Jamal Lewis (On his status for this week) – “I am just doing everything the trainers are asking me to do. I am trying to get better day-to-day."
(On the quarterback switch) – “We’ve been playing with both of them since the end of July so I don’t think it makes that much of a difference. We’ve been playing with both of them and we just have to do what we have to do to help whoever is in there. Help them out by doing our job, that’s it."
Quarterback Brady Quinn (On his reaction to the quarterback switch) – “Obviously, I’m disappointed, frustrated. I want to be playing, I want to be starting. That’s the case, I’m sure, with a lot of guys in the league. If you don’t feel that way, you shouldn’t be in the league. Right now, I am just trying to do everything I can to help out my teammates, whether it’s Derek (Anderson) or anyone else, and do the best we can."
(On how he played in his three starts) – “Obviously not good enough to win and that’s what we are trying to do as a team. My goal right now is to try to get better and better every day."
(On the uncertainty of when he is going to play next) – “It’s tough. It’s what you have to deal with. I wish I had a little longer time to be in there and play, but that’s not the situation we are in."
(On how to deal with not being the starter) – “It’s tough to deal with but I think you have to remain confident in your abilities. We didn’t play well as a team and we didn’t win those games as a team. That’s kind of how you have to look at it and how you have to react to it. I have to change roles a little bit and be the best team player I can right now." Offensive Lineman Joe Thomas (On if it’s different to block for Anderson and Quinn) – “They are a little different but it doesn’t really ever go through your mindset who you are blocking for. You are always trying to block the guy the same way. Maybe some calls will be different, but as far as our job, it doesn’t change."
(On Brady Quinn losing the starting job) – “It’s tough and nobody likes to get sat down but he is a team player. I know he is going to do everything he can to try to either win the job back or do everything he can to support Derek to help win some games out here."
