Pro Wrestling Legend Captain Lou Albano Has Passed Away at Age 76


Louis Vincent Albano, better known to millions of pro wrestling fans as Captain Lou Albano, passed away today at age 76. Albano wresteled for over four decades and was one of the reasons that professional wrestling is so popular today as his lively personality won over the masses.Later in his career with the WWF he become a manager to many of the greats of the time including The Iron Sheik, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, and Hulk Hogan.

In the 1980's, Albano become forged a relationship with pop icon Cyndi Lauper and appeared in a number of her videos including "Girls Just Want To Have Fun", "She Bop", "Time After Time" and "The Goonies 'R' Good Enough". They remained friends decades later with Lauper writing the forward to his autobiography "Often Imitated, Never Duplicated" that hit book stores last year.
