Miley Cyrus Voted Worst Celebrity Influence of 2009
Miley Cyrus is undoubtedly one of Disney's biggest stars in the past few years, with hit records and films, but she's not neccesarily a good influence on the legions of tweens and teens that adore her. She's just been voted the worst celebrity influence of 2009 by the very people who made her a star, according to an online poll on Wednesday.
Miley took 43 percent of votes in a poll for AOL's JSYK.com (Just So You Know) website, which is aimed at the 9 to 15-year-old set. In second and third place were Britney Spears and Kanye West respectively.
There were no reasons stated for why the Hannah Montana star was voted as such, but we can take a pretty good guess. Over the past two years photos have been leaked of her barely clothed, she's controversially dated a 20-year-old model, made fun of Asians in a "slant eyes" photo, and pole danced on a teen awards show.
Kanye West likely earned his No. 2 spot in the worst celebrity influence poll with 19 percent of votes after he interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at a music awards show in September. That incident was also voted the most shocking moment of 2009.

Wow, worst influence? Really? I am a huge fan, yet I'm not clambering onto poles any time soon, because a) it wasn't a pole dance, but more importantly b) I am not a mindless drone who does whatever celebrities do. Miley's made mistakes, and we forgive her for them, but do I want to do some of the things she's done? No. Just because she's a celebrity, will people do these things? God no.
i think miley deserve it she took naked pics of herself she done pole dancing she dated 20 year old boy she has too much piercings like naval nose many on the both ears she is a spoilt little brat she also take bad pics with a last boyfriend not justin and with her friends so that what she get she has to learn the hard way and her parents never do anything about it

lien i do not think miley cyrus is a bad influence people are jelous of her because she has money in this bad econimy! i know that she has maken some mistakes like doing that one pole move but was not a big deal, we all make mistakes and she did not pose nacked she had a sheet! does not have a nose or navel pericing! we all make mistakes so stop smashing on her.

i personally dont like her but i'll keep an open mind,
yeah yeah, mileys done some good things,
- sings pretty well
- brings joy to some viewers on her show
- concerts, banquets, photoshoots, etc.
but have you seen and heard the bad things she has done? they completely outnumber the good things!

- made fun of asians
- shes cancelling her show

i dont know about you but that completely outnumbers the good, and if you look miley up on google and images, you can clearly see that she took pictures of herself half dressed. and yeah, teenagers around us would do the exact same thing, but unlike teenagers around us, miley has a role to play and shes playing it wrong, pole dancing , i mean really? and before you tell me that shes too young to make the right decisions now, you better come up with something better because miley is already making decisions for herself, like cancelling her show. that was all her. so dont tell me shit that she's only sixteen and she has made a few mistakes and we'll forgive her. tell me, would you forgive a prostitute or a whore? tell me that you would and then we'll talk.
I am not surprised that she won the worst celeb influence, because she mocked the asians, takes odd pictures of herself (like the shower scandal), Vanity fair pictures, has nose piercings. And just because they forgive her doesn't change the fact that she's not a good influence.
