Popular Cleveland Landmark Great Lake Brewing Company Has Electrical Fire

WKYC reported on it's 6 O'Clock news that ultra popular brewer Great Lakes Brewing Company had an electrical fire this afternoon. Eye witness reports on Twitter reported the news two hours ago when Alex Null wrote:

Great Lakes is on Fire ... Might be the saddest day of my life

He added another tweet that read:

I kid you not there are 8 fire trucks at Great Lakes ...

Halls Twitter account, which goes by the screen name nullster, also snapped the photographs on this story to verify his eye-witness reporting.

There were no injuries reported at the scene. Interestingly, Cleveland labor newspaper The Cleveland Citizen has had Greats Lake Brewing Company on their boycott list for using non-union staff such as electricians and carpenters at the bar/brewery located in Ohio City.

Update 8:15: Great Lakes Brewing Company has released the following statement on their Twitter Account:

Due to an alley fire b/t GLBC's Brewpub & the Fries & Scheule Bldg, the Brewpub is closed until Wed/Thurs. Check the website for updates.
