Big Week Ahead for Cleveland State Basketball


On Tuesday, November 24, 2009, the Vikes will also be taking on a top-ranked team - the #4 Kentucky Wildcats. Tip off is at 4:30pm, but fans will be gathering at Playmakers in Parma beginning at 4pm for a great watch party. Highlights of this event include 40 cent wing night, $6 burger night, 25oz PBR Drafts only $1.25 until halftime, $1.75 domestic bottles and $2 domestic drafts during the game, and giveaways throughout the whole game. The week of Vikings basketball will continue on Thrusday when they face either Stanford or Virginia in the Cancun Challenge basketball tournament following their game with the Big Blue.

The Vikings then head home Saturday trying to build on their 15 game winning streak. Enjoy the long post-Thanksgiving holiday weekend with some great Cleveland State University Men's Basketball action at the Wolstein Center. On November 28, 2009, the Vikings will take on the Wichita State Shockers at home. The Vikings will celebrate their fantastic 2008-2009 season which saw them win a Horizon League championship and advance one round in the NCAA Tournament.


The game tips off at 2pm, but you'll want to make sure you get down early. The first 1,000 fans will receive a free souvenir Championship Pennant compliments of Pepsi, and the day will also feature a pregame 2009 championship banner raising ceremony, free KidZone, dollar hot dogs, free chair massages, and $1,000s in prize giveaways.

Sweetening the deal even more, fans can get into the game at a discounted price. Look for Buy One/Get One ticket offers at Discount Drug Mart, on specially marked cans of Crush and Dr. Pepper, and at area Speedway convenience stores with your Speedy Rewards card. The true icing on the cake is the extra bonus each fan who attends the game will receive- a ticket voucher for a future game.

Tickets start at just $8 and can be purchased at the Wolstein Center Box Office and at all TicketMaster outlets.
