Rumor: Hillary Clinton May Run as VP in 2012, then President in 2016

Hillary Clinton lost the Democratic Party's nomination for the Presidency in 2008 and rival Barack Obama took the White House, beating the GOP candidate John McCain in the November election. This all but ruined any plans that Clinton might have had to run again in 2012, as Obama would - barring any unforeseen events or circumstances - be the incumbent candidate. Now it seems that Clinton may have a shot still, it will just take awhile longer.

The hottest rumor in Washington D.C. right now is that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton could replace Vice President Joe Biden on the 2012 Obama re-election ticket. It would serve as a reward for her work at State, as well as prepare her for a 2016 run. Some strategists think that Biden would be too old to run for president at that point.

That would be a gift horse for Repubics. I thought it was pretty much obvious now Obama would lose in 2012 by a landslide. But with HRC attached to the package, look out. I predict the following:

Popular Vote
Sarah Palin / Joe Lieberman (58%)
Republican Ticket (Probably Romney / Newt) (32%)
Independents/Green Parties (6%)
Barack Obama / Hilary Clinton (4%)

But my money is on impeachment in 2011.

That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I am by no means an Obama fan, but open your eyes. Palin is only popular among the right-wing fringe conservatives. She does not have ANY political clout with independent America, which is what she would need to win not only the presidency, but even the nomination.

Obama and Hillary would again win the White House. Barring any economic failure between now and then, Obama will run again, and seeing as the Republicans have no REAL candidates to offer, he will win again.

Get real.

That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard! I hope you are a convicted fellon and are not allowed to vote!

If Hillary Clinton would run for Vice President I think that would be very great. But if she prefer to run for President much better.

I go for Hillary Clinton all the way!

obama will need a soup tester if she does become vp in 2012

Hillary should challenge Obama in the primary for 2012

I think OBAMA should DEFINATELY ask Mrs Clinton to be his VP in 2012 and totally neutralize the evil REPUBLICANS who have no clue about governing any longer. They need to be KEPT out of power until they learn the lessons of how their policies have almost run this country into the ground.

Mrs Clinton would assure OBAMA to be reelected in 2012 and then she would be in position to run and WIN in 2016 as well as re election in 2020. This would assure that the REPUBLICANS would remain out of power for at least 16 years til Jan of 2025 which hopefully by that point they will have learned their lesson and put someone out there qualified to govern once again. Time in the wilderness is exactly what they need in order to realize how they fucked up everything. This is why we have the problems we have now due to their policies and mismanagement.

SO i applaud this idea and hope Obama seriously considers it!

Really? You predict an Obama/Clinton ticket would garner 4% of the vote? Where do you think these elections would be held? In Iraq? Either you have no political sense at all or you are drinking way to much. Either way, Obama will run in 2012, no doubt. Bidden is getting older, but that doesn't mean he is ready to be done. Clinton would take some of the bite out of a Palin candidacy, however, Palin does not need any assistance at losing an election. Just give her a microphone. Obama wins 2012 with Biden, he wins 2012 with Clinton. The question is what happens in 2016. It is safe to say at this point, Cinton is the frontrunner, should she chose to run. Why not give her a 4-6 year head start and keep her from tiring out. The VP job would have less strains than Sec. of State. Do it Obama.

YES! Obama/Clinton 2012 Clinton/? 2016

U go girl. GIRL POWER!!! lol, like in other contries, Hillary would be a nice option 4 all american peoplee, we r tired that men manage us..By the way I found a website that give you prizes for your opinions and 4 play games here is the topic about this:
http://opinion.ezwingame.com/topics/will-hillary-clinton-run-for-president-in-2012

Didn't vote for obama in the first place but i would have voted for hillary but if for some reason the ticket is obama/hillary it will only be because obama needs the backing to secure a second term. If that occurs I won't vote for hillary or obama because i still don't believe obama is capable of being the president. All those luxury promises of what he was and wasn't going to do just like every other lying candidate. Ignorant voters need to stop voting all together so it makes it easy for the rest of who pay attention to what the candidates are actually talking about and what they can actually accomplish not just list a bunch of pipe dreams. They should make people take a test before they are allowed to go in a voting booth so it can keep all the people away that only vote based on your race or based on stupid campaign slogans and they have no idea what the candidate is really about.

Hillary will challenge Obama for the nomination in 2012 and she will win! If Sarah Palin does run, there is no way in hell she will beat either one of them. That woman is an idiot! Yes, she can sell books. That's because people are generally stupid with their money and it's kinda funny the way she talks. But, voting her into the White House is very different. I have more faith in people. There is no way that stupid woman will ever run this country! Although, somehow Bush got in twice!

Hillary Clinton for president only 2012.

Yest =- Hillary has done a great job as Secty. Obama surely does need her. Jo Biden hasnt done very much at all - looks good but thats about it. I thinnk the Obama/Clinto team would be a good one and win the vote

Sounds like more 'hope and change' mumbo-jumbo to me. Both Obama and HRC are losers and I'd LOVE to see them go down in flames together.

That said, I'd miss Biden...at least he amuses me. Nothing brings a smile to my face faster than Joe opening his mouth. Every time he does, you're guaranteed to get at least an exaggerated half-truth, if not an outright lie. Then, you have the inevitable backpedal when people realize that his charming little anecdotes can't possibly be true. We get it, Joe. You speak in parables, just like Jesus. Why, when you were a poor carpenter's child in 1st Century Jerusalem....

Never under estimate a small group of focused people. All parties aside, our federal government is broken and full of pork. If we keep electing the same kinds of people, our democracy will end as we know it. The current adminastration and their actions should be a wake up call for all of us and if not, we deserve what we get.
