Bill Gates Joins Twitter, Befriends Ryan Seacrest

Is Bill Gates a big American Idol fan? I ask the question because the Microsoft dynasty maker has gotten around to joining Twitter and 2 of his 4 "tweets" have been directed to Ryan Seacrest. No, he isn't asking about the "Pants on Ground" phenomenon but thanking Seacrest for his work with the Haiti relief work.

As for Gates' account. So far he has only 7600 followers but that is sure to quickly rise as people find his verified account. The 54 year old links to his charitable foundation and not the homepage of Microsoft so it looks like he isn't trying to monetize from the account and has good intentions in his new venture of social networking.
