Cedric Jackson on Joining the Cavaliers "A Dream Come True"

Four years ago, Cedric Jackson was a frustrated player playing in the Big East for St. John's. He probably had no idea that fate would bring him Cleveland and reunite him with Gary Waters who had been close to signing him to play for Rutgers just a few years ago. At the end of the Cleveland State season last year, he said it was a blessing in disguise and his fortunes got even better today signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers for a 10 game stint. He said about his first venture into the NBA:
“It’s a dream come true,” Jackson said. “I never thought it was gonna happen this quick I am excited it came when I found out I was gonna be part of the team earlier today. (Cavs GM) Danny Ferry called me about four to five hours ago.”
Jackson has been on a tear recently for the Erie Bayhawks in his last game he exploded for 34 points, dished out 13 assists, and grabbed 5 boards. That is a good way to get some attention from the NBA.
The first thing Jackson did when he heard the news was make his way to Cleveland to take in the Vikings game against Green Bay. Jackson, who expresses admiration for Waters every chance he gets, will probably never forget who got him back on track for the big time. The 10 day contract he signed with the Cavaliers won't be his last stint in the NBA and the Cavs should probably do everything in their power to make him stick around in his adopted hometown.
