Judge Orders Roman Polanski to Return to the US

Roman Polanski has lost his fight to avoid extradition to the US after having been on the run since 1978. A Los Angeles judge has ruled that he must return to the states on charges of unlawful sex stemming from a late 1970s incident.
Polanski pleaded guilty to having sex with then 13-year-old Samantha Geimer in 1977, but one year later he fled the US before he could be sentenced.
Polanski, 76, was arrested in Zurich last year, and has since been under house arrest at his chalet in Switzerland. Meanwhile, his lawyers are fighting to prevent him from being extradited, arguing that he should be sentenced in his absence.
On Friday, January 22, 2010, a judge decided that Polanski must return to the US for sentencing. His legal team is expected to appeal the ruling.

For 32 years this man has lead a privileged life. It is time he pays for what he has done.
I THINK HE SHOULD RETURN AND BE CHARGE AND SENT TO JAIL IF NOT FOR THE CRIME BUT FOR LEAVING THE US AFTER HAVING SEX WITH A CHILD.I THINK THAT THIS PROFILE AND COLOR HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH HIM IN ANOTHER COUNTRY FOR SO LONG.I THINK HE IS MAKING FUN OF THE JUSTICE SYSTEM AND THAT NOT RIGHT.
let,s have justice here -no matter how much money he has let him be brought to justice for what he has done
