Instead of Super Mario, Italians Have Themselves Psycho Mario

Super Mario used to be known as a lovable Nintendo character in the video game world. An Italian boy named Mario is giving the name a bad wrap today after attacking his father with a knife while playing a FIFA Soccer on PS3.

The insane attack came from the 16-year-old boy after receiving some tips to play soccer in real life from his dad, psycho Mario found the nearest knife and stabbed his father in the neck.

Italian daily newspaper Il Corriere della Sera reports the knife was a 15 inch kitchen knife and his mother explained to the paper:

"I saw Mario come back into the room, he seemed calm, he went to the sink and I noticed him washing a knife. Then my husband came into the room with a hand round his neck, dripping blood."

His father is resting at a local hospital in stable condition. Psycho Mario was arrested without incident after returning to his room after trying to kill his own father.

Maybe it is a good thing that they didn't buy him Mortal Combat as his mother explains:

"We bought him FIFA 2009 because we didn’t want him playing violent games."
