Brittany Murphy's Husband Suing WB; Claims They Killed Her

Brittany Murphy's husband Simon Monjack didn't have the greatest reputation in Hollywood before her death, and now he's only making it worse. In an interview with the Daily Beast, Monjack reveals that he is suing Warner Brothers for wrongful death.

Monjack says he is just days away from a wrongful death action against Warner Brothers, claiming that the studio is responsible for Murphy's unexpected death last December. "They killed her," he said.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office hasn't yet released a final cause of death for the 32-year-old actress, but Monjack and Brittany's mother, Sharon, are convinced that she died of a heart attack from the stress caused by WB's cancelling of a contract two weeks before she died.

Monjack says that Murphy was excited to have begun production on the sequel to the animated film "Happy Feet", but when she was fired by WB, he says she was "devastated."

A month prior to be fired by Warner Brothers, Murphy had also been let go from The Call, a film that was shooting in Puerto Rico. She was replaced with Twilight star Rachelle Lefevre. There were rumors that Monjack was difficult on the set, and that is why they had to let her go.
