Dr. Conrad Murray to Be Charged for Michael Jackson's Death Today

Michael Jackson's personal doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, will be surrendering himself today if he is formally charged in the late pop star's death. He is currently facing involuntary manslaughter charges after he prescribed several different drugs to Jackson, including the poweful anesthetic Propofol.
Jackson's death certificiate said that he died of "acute Propofol intoxication", however months later it was changed to "homicide". It was amended earlier this month by the Los Angeles County Coroner's office to include the words "by intravenous injection of another."
Dr. Murray is currently in Los Angeles with his attorneys waiting to learn his fate. He is said to be "cooperating fully" with the investigation, and plans to surrender if asked.
Michael Flanagan, Murray's legal representative, said:
βIn the event of charges being filed in connection with Michael Jackson's death it would be much cheaper for tax payers if I am able to surrender Dr. Murray myself. I am hoping the District Attorney will make the right decision and allow me to do this.β
Murray's impending arrest has been a long time coming. The LA County District Attorney's Office and the LA Police Department have been working on the case since Jackson's death seven months ago.

Damn. This is like finding the man that killed Super Man or MLK. How tragic. MJ belonged to all of us in some way.
