Vikings Look to Even Season Record Against Loyola


Cleveland State closes out its annual trip to Chicago when the Vikings play at Loyola on Saturday, Feb. 6 beginning at 3:00 p.m. CST in the Joseph J. Gentile Center on the Loyola campus. The Vikings (11-12, 7-4) ran their league win streak to four on Thursday night when they never trailed in a 74-63 win at UIC. CSU enters the weekend in third place in the Horizon League standings, a half-game behind second place Wright State (8-4) and a half-game ahead of both Green Bay and Detroit, who are each 7-5. Loyola (13-9, 4-8) snapped a four-game losing streak on Thursday night when the Ramblers edged Youngstown State, 92-85 in overtime. Loyola is in eighth place in the league standings, a game-and-a-half out of seventh. The Ramblers hold a 22-13 lead in the all-time series, but CSU has won four of the last five games, including three straight.
