Angelina Jolie and Father Jon Voight Reunite
Actress Angelina Jolie and her once-estranged father Jon Voight have been quietly working on repairing their relationship, according to RadarOnline.com. However, the father and daughter made their reconciliation public on Sunday in Venice.
Jolie and Voight got together for a water taxi ride through the Venice Grand Canal, with Brad Pitt and two of their children tagging along for the ride.
Angie and her dad were estranged since 2001, when Voight made an appeal on television for her to get help for "her serious mental problems." Of course this did not go over well with his daughter, who wanted nothing to do with him after the incident. She even alleged that Voight cheated on her mother.
Pitt, who is close to his family, is said to have orchestrated the reunion. When he was with his ex, Jennifer Aniston, he also urged her to reconcile with her mother when they became estranged.
Jolie, Pitt and their children are staying in Venice while films "The Tourist", which also stars Johnny Depp.

I know her dad thought he was the best thing when he was in his career high and started dating other women and his media discussion of her needing help did make them estranged but I'm glad they are finally reconciling!!!! I do believe Brad had a lot to do with it... and if Angelina loves Brad enough, she would do it for him if not for herself. But then again, she may be doing this for her own kids so they'll know their grandfather too!!
Who cares? They are both wrapped up in ego and have so much work to do in order to be concieved of as somewhat normal that it is beyond comprehension why they would try. Wackos of the world leave us alone!
