The Kennedy Family's Run in Congress Might Not End After All

For the past sixty-years, there has been at least one Kennedy in Congress. Patrick Kennedy, the son of late Senator Ted Kennedy, announced earlier this month his decision not to seek reelection for another term. One of Robert F. Kennedy's grandsons, Joseph P. Kennedy III is rumored to be considering running for the U.S. House of Representatives.

Joseph P. Kennedy III is one of the twin sons of former Rep. Joseph P. Kennedy II.

A top Massachusetts Democrat spoke about private conversations with the father and son on conditions of anonymity. The younger Kennedy is considering running if Rep. William Delahunt decides not to seek reelection.

Delahunt has come under criticism for his handling of a 1986 shooting in Braintree by a woman who was accused of killing three colleagues at an Alabama university this month. Delahunt represents an area that includes Barnstable County, where Joseph P. Kennedy III works as a prosecutor. The 29-year-old Kennedy is a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Law School.

Wow! There's some intelligent discourse. Keep it up!

No more Kennedy's, no more Clinton's, and no more Bush's. Please!
