Shaquille O'Neal's Surgery a Success, Will Miss 8 Weeks

Cleveland Cavaliers center Shaquille O'Neal underwent successful surgery in this morning in Baltimore. The Cavs say that the big man will miss 8 weeks as he heals from the procedure. If the eight week figure is correct, it would mean that O'Neal is out for the regular season but probably begin playing if the team advances past the first round of the NBA Playoffs without him. It is widely expected that Zydrunas Ilgauskas will come back to the club on March 22nd and start at center upon his return with Anderson Varejao filling in the starting role for the next few weeks.
