Ohio Father & Son Named Top Boys Prep Coach & Player in the US

Jared Sullinger and his father and coach, James Sullinger, have both won Naismith Awards as the top prep boys coach and player in the United States.
Jared, a 6-foot-9 senior, lead the Columbus Northland High School team to an undefeated season. Northland is ranked No. 1 in the country by USA Today and had a 21-0 record this season. He also led his team to a state title one year ago. He has signed on to play with Ohio State University at the college level next year.
Chiney Ogwumike from Cypress-Fairbanks in Texas won the girls award, and Sean Casey from The Peddie School in Highstown, NJ, was named the top girls' coach.
The awards are presented annually by The Atlanta Tipoff Club.
